Jesus received a royal welcome into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday. Then, the crowd turned against Him by Good Friday. What makes a crowd change direction? Who are they following?
Rewrite the following verse in your own words:
Matthew 16:25 (NLT) Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me."
What might it look like to "take up your cross" today?
Pastor Andy shared that we are often more comfortable with God's Will than we are God's Ways. For example: We are more comfortable with God's Will for Victory than we are the way of the Cross. What other examples can you think of where God's Way is not comfortable?
Why is following Jesus difficult at times?
Is God calling you to do anything specific?
How do you think God will help you do these things? Do you believe He can/will help you?
