SCRIPTURE REFERENCES FROM THE SERMON:
Exodus 1-4

PRAISE:
Any updates on prayer requests/commitments from last week?

What has Jesus said or done in your life and world this week?

What character traits of Jesus have been most evident to you?

GETTING TO KNOW YOU:
Describe your childhood using the title of a well-known Song or Movie.

LISTEN:
What part of the sermon was most meaningful to you?

Do you have any unanswered questions?

Pastor Andy said we are prone to focusing our attention on "the thing God uses, rather than the God who uses the thing." What "things" have you noticed that Christians focus on other than God?

Why do modern Christians struggle with putting Moses, and other people in the Bible, up on a pedestal?

Moses struggles to see himself as a person God can use. Feelings of insufficiency keep many people from obeying God. Has God given you victory over any feeling of insufficiency? Share the story, if you are willing.

Write in your own words what you think God was trying to say to Moses in Exodus 4:11-12:

Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.”

Do you find these words challenging or encouraging? What specific obstacles or opportunities in your life do these words speak to?

SUPPORT:
Is God calling you to do anything specific?

How do you think God will help you do these things? Do you believe He can/will help you?

How can the group pray, encourage, or hold you accountable?
